LOVE THINE ENEMY
DO GOOD TO THOSE WHO HATE YOU
after taking some time to observe and assess what i'm doing with my life
i have discovered
my capacity to be honest has been increased,
my capacity to forgive has returned
and my ability to live and let live
is alive and well.
i've discovered that love is not always
thrilling or comfortable
or even " kind "...
it's a bit like
coloring outside the lines...
or mistakenly amputating the left foot
from your paperdoll cut out....
it is my belief
that those times when i love my neighbor as myself -
but DON'T love myself so much -
i am affecting the world around me
in ways just as far reaching and impactive
as those times when i practice self love.
"train up a child in the way he should go
and when he is old he will not depart from it"
proverbs 22:6 KJV
and as children of the universe
we need to know
THIS is our training ground...
we need to persevere in defending and protecting it. ♥
