MOMMAHOLLI'S MEDITATIONS

it's ALL in how you look at it

here is another philosophy rant

for you to consider thoughtfully...

when i was fairly young the kids in my neighborhood got an early start at "making fun" of me - even the grandmother who raised me said i was

"an odd little duck" -

but i was so lost in my own small world by then, that i was oblivious and ignorant about such matters....

i saw no harm in

"making fun" of anyone or any THING.

i still don't.

if i can't make "fun" of what i'm doing

[and whats happening around me - or TO me]

then ....why bother?

i taught my kids to do the same thing....

if YOU don't like what YOU are doing

[or where  or who you are]

don't do it!

do, go, BE something DIFFERENT!!!

it's worked like a charm for me!

as a child one form of discipline was to require memorizing scriptures.

i got almost the entire KJV holy bible memorized by the time i was 10!!

lots of them stuck with me...

i definitely have some favorites -

most of them i've needed to modify or re-interpret -

but the one i actually use every day/all day

is a small 3 word verse...

and it's known to be the shortest verse in the whole KingJamesVersion

 of the holy bible...

"pray without ceasing"

I Thessalonians 5:17

a very long time ago i translated that to mean:

"think happy thoughts- constantly-indefinitely-without question"

now, i don't mean happy thoughts like being in rigid denial

i mean like

make believe you live in a world where every one is

kind, respectful, forgiving...

i am living proof that if you spend 60 + years

in a world of make believe that has you surrounded with

beauty and goodness

with life, light and laughter...

thinking happy thoughts

comes naturally.

all those memories and all those adventures?

looking back at what you've come through?

 i'm  smiling all the time!

even, ESPECIALLY, when i'm in pain!

so....that's my rant for today...

just consider what might happen

if you

"pray without ceasing"

blessed be.
